Topic: How much muck to use ?

I've just managed to get an unlimited supply of 3+ year old well rotted horse muck.

It's such good stuff it's almost 50% earthworms and completely black.

My question is how much can you put on in 1 go ,i.e can I add too much ?

I'm thinking of putting about a 2 inch layer on the whole plot as I've not put any on for a couple of years.

Or can I add it in unlimited amounts ? ???

It should not be put on the ground where root crops are to be sown, anywhere else including potatoes should be OK.

As Larkshall says, not on the root beds but from that description as much as you can.... a foot deep if you can get it!  ;D

I was going to post the same question. Just put a couple of inch's over a raised bed ready for next year. Allotment neighbour says theirs too much it will make the soil Limey i think hes talking rubbish. He just uses manure in his Potatoe trench's every year.
