When do pumpkins normally start to change colour?
« on: August 04, 2008, 18:26:41 »
This is my first year growing pumpkins and have no idea of the month they change colour!
I have two plants both with about six pumpkins on each! I am not worried about the growing the biggest just want them to do their own thing.

mine started to change colour about 2 weeks ago and have almost gone completely orange...wasn't sure if it would grow as I harvest the seeds from a morrison pumpkin bought last year...I am so happy...bit worried tho...not sure when to harvest it?

They should be changing now.

mine must be pretty behind then!

I have one plant with one pumpkin - good size but still pale.

Second plant has 4 pumkins - one large pale and 3 small ones growing.

Hopefully they will catch up. they are needed for halloween or my kids will not be happy!
Keep getting worried that the stuff I grow will taste nasty - or turn out poisonous!
