Well, just had to show you the first parsnip of the year :o Variety white Gem, seeds cheap as chips from Wilko`s :D Sown in toilet roll tubes middle of March, planted out on lottie end of April. One mistake I made was not getting them in the ground a bit sooner, the tap root was showing through the bottom of the tube & by the look of the parsnip it has started to fork at that point :(
Still it is 16 inches around , weighs in at 1.35 kilos, 3lbs in old money, only another 25 to go :o
