Dwarf sunflowers
« on: August 24, 2008, 16:58:36 »
I have some "Irish Eyes" sunflowers where the main flower has now gone over. Should I remove the heads to encourage the sideshoots to flower?

Can't hurt... we had some and they never developed sideshoots... and looked sad for weeks!  :-[

We had some a few years ago but they disappeared. Pinching out the top sounds reasonable.
