Topic: Mixing farmyard/horse manure

I'm already sourcing my manure to put on the allotment at the backend of the year, I have a good supply of horse manure and cow muck are there likely to be any problems with mixing the two together in one big heap before I spread it on to the allotment :)

If it is fresh horse manure let it rot for 12 months, I spread some on lottie many years ago and got half a lottie of oats.

No Problems mixing it at all .Just make sure its cooled down a bit before you spread it .

Much horse muck but Chessington's Zoo section seems to have a contract to sell its esoteric crap to a commercial mob - they won't let on to whom though..

I've just spotted the biggest pile of farmyard muck just a mile from my house, why have I not seen this beautiful sight before??, tomorrow its finding out time about getting some on mi lotty :)

Please be aware of the problems (nationwide) for 3 years now of farm manure contaminated with Aminopyralid herbicide.
