First Runners....

Not quite as full grown as Tim's but I think they are on their way.  ;D

How are others beans coming along? Are ours a tad late with being "Up North"?

Looks like we'll soon be trying beans in every conceivable way.  :P

OK in Enfield, but need some heavy rain.  Had a shower yesterday but it only touched the surface. Ground is very dry.  Have had enough for eating but haven't frozen many yet or had enough to give away to friends. On the barter system picked blackberries for my neighbour and she returned the bowl full of cooked chicken for my cat.

Checked my Runners this morning and they are about 3 to 4 inches long and my second lot of broad beans are also starting to show :)

Everyone's runners on our site have taken off big time. We're all freezing them and giving them away as well as eating them almost every day! "What do you want for dinner?" has turned in to "What do you want with your runner beans today?"!
