Old wormery
« on: August 01, 2008, 07:31:49 »
Since taking on my plot and building a pallet compost bin my old wormery is a little obsolete as all the kitchen waste etc is going to the allotment. Is there anything to stop me putting the worms into the heap on the plot?

Not really,  but what will you do in bad weather, winter & in case of not being able to get to the plot on a regular basis?  Your wormery will be handy then if it's near the house?  In a month or so, you may fill your allottment bins with the left over foliage from potatos, beans, peas etc....

Just a thought, but then again I am rather fond of my worms ( ???) and my allottment is a bit too far away to drop round just whenever.

Cheers

is it in the sale?

Well I would imagine they would all be happy as Larry!

They are doing the same thing and digesting waste just in a larger vessel!  Can't see a problem myself!
