had my first cucumber from my greenhouse  yesturday and wow it was a lot better then the ones you buy from the store,lol,love cucumber eat them like apples lol

You're right!  My outdoor ones are sweet and delicious, not like the watery nothingness from the supermarket.

Grew cucumbers in the greenhouse last year and had som many that I had knock on doors to give them away.

This year I have grown them in cold frames and now taken the tops off to allow them to get the full warmth(?) and light from the Sun. This has worked very well and I've got enough but not too many like last year.

Incidentally, last year many of the cucumbers went different colours - yellow and even red. They tatsed perfectly O.K. and were fully formed.
