Poly Tunnel
« on: July 29, 2008, 13:01:29 »
Hi Folks,

We have just been offered a section in our lottie community poly tunnel. We are just wondering what we can plant this year. We have a section around 11feet by 5 feet. So far we have plonked in an odd aubergine (didn't look well in our mini greenhouse) a tommy & a pepper.  ;D

Many thanks,

MP

you can sow some carrots , if you wait another month, you can sow winter lettuce, chinese pak choi, red mustard etc, winter hardy white lisbon spring onions, we planted some overwintering onions in there last year, they weren't too bad for size, we're planting potatoes for christmas, in august, hope that list helps, my book also says greyhound cabbage  :)

Hi Manicscousers,

Many thanks for the advice.

Just one other question. Do we have to buy more potatoes for the christmas planting or can we plant some that we have just grown?
