nice one, my water melon is about the size of a ping pong ball at the moment., other melons yet to have female flowers

I have 5 watermelon plants in my greenhouse with lots of flowers how do I tell which flowers are the female and do I have to pick of the others :-\

the female flowers will have mini melons behind the flowers, the male won't  ;D
might be worth hand pollinating some

Wow, that's fantastic. Mine are only at the flowering stage, which is further than they got last year!

Mine have only flowers - I found a femail flower the other day, and helped it along a little, will have to take my glasses next time to make sure I don't miss any.

Quick update on progress. I think the melons are Minnisota Midget.

I have three Canteloupe's set and 3 unknown Water Melons but they are at the ping pong ball size..  ;D
