« on: July 21, 2008, 09:57:08 »
1) I have loads of peices of wood.

2) I have very limited practical knowledge.

3) I need a chicken hutch.

Do you guys have any tips to make sure my chickens are ok ? The run is sorted.

never built a coop but i would put legs on it ,and a sloping roof(waterproofed) and a way to get to eggs easy.size will depend how many chooks you got.

Bacyman, thanks. i saw that but think it is beyond my technical ability. Basically, I am rubbish !!!!

I am definately puitting it on legs. I intend to to put nesting boxes on the back with a lift up lid to get the eggs. Waterproof definately and i know I need a roosting area.

Any other ideas ?

Look in the "Kept Animals" section of the forum.  There has been some postings recently of peoples new chicken coups that look brilliant.  You may get some ideas  ;)
