Prickly turnip leaves?
« on: July 14, 2008, 16:48:00 »
Hi All,

whilst thining out some turnips i noticed they were starting to give a bit of a sting as i touched them and are slightly sharp on the leaves/stem.

Is this normal or have some weeds once again overtaken and grown wonderfully in their place?

Thanks
Liam
Keep getting worried that the stuff I grow will taste nasty - or turn out poisonous!

Perfectly normal... many radish have the same effect. Some people react to parsnip leaves as well.  :)
