If using cartons of fruit juice then for best results look for pure fruit juice with no added sugar/sweetners or preservatives particularly Potassium Sorbate (E202) which will prevent your wine from fermenting, it is widely used as a preservative by the majority of fruit juice manufacturers.

Just started a demi of wine apple based will add grape juice then grapefruit as i like a tart wine.this is my first attempt ill let you know of the outcome....hic

Ive just started some cranberry and cherry (2.25 for 3 at Tesco). 2 litres to start it off, Ill add the rest in a week.

 I added a small tin of wine improver (red) that you get from Wilko's cos I had the feeling that the wine would be 'thin', some yeast nutrient to help the generic wine yeast and some lemon juice to make it more acidic. 
 
Its bubbling away nicely.  ;D
