Pumpkins and potatoes
« on: June 10, 2008, 20:53:44 »
I was planning to put some of my pumpkins next to the potaoes, but read on a website that they are not good companion plants. Has anyone else read this or have you planted pumpkins and potatoes next to each other without any ill effects? I am running out of space very rapidly!!

Another potato observation/query - many potatoes on our site are very tall with a lot of top growth. we are putting off digging them up in case there is nothing there!!!
Do you think it has been the weather and has anyone else got tall pots this year as well?

Is the top growth normal or does it look odd?

Don't know about pumpkin/potato combination.  They're never very far apart on my plot because there isn't enough space.

Top growth looks normal, but taller than usual. Some seem almost leggy.
