The waiting list I have got on has 4 people in front of me, is that good or bad ?

Hiya, Welcome... from another relatively new person ;D

If it's only four people, think that sounds great, I have heard many sites have over twenty + people on their waiting lists!

That means you have to wait for five people to either give up their plot or drop down dead before you get one.

If the site is full of 30 year old new age yuppies it's bad news. If it's full of 90 year old geriatrics then I'd get your wellies out and dust off your dibber just in case.

Good news.
Just spoken to a secretary from another allotment site who has told me they have a lot of plots available with no waiting list.
Now the bad news, they are all in a bad state and need clearing.
But one thing I am not worried about is a bit of hard work, so going to look at what is available tomorrow

Yes, keep us posted.

My before and after shots are in my gallery if you need inspiration. They were like meadows when I got them.
