It could wait no longer - yesterday, my tomatoes were lovingly put into thier final growing pots and have gone out. HOWEVER. The forecast for the weekend is heavy rain. So should I bring them all into the conservatory? Our greenhouse is up but no glass in yet, so that's not an option. :-\

probably more the wind to worry about than the rain (which can come as soon as it likes for me). Make sure they're staked and tied in, and maybe use a windbreak

If they are still quite small, 6" to a foot, it might be a good idea to mulch them as heavy rain can cause a lot of splash back onto the lower leaves... which interferes with the photosynthesis...  :-\

It is getting very windy here...
