When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Welcome to the best allotment site around!  I have only been posting here for a couple of years but I have learnt so much from everyone.  It's a pleasure to log into the site and have a read and often a good chuckle!

How long have you had an allotment?  Where in the UK are you based?

Ive only had my lottie for a couple of months & seriously knew nothing about growing fruit & veg but the people on this forum have been sooooooooo much help & really patient with my very basic newbie questions  ;)

Welcome!!!  I agree with Crystalmoon, we have only had our lottie since Feb with no experience at all.  What the people on this site dont know about growing anything, is not worth knowing.....
