an old potato has sprouted - leave or get rid
« on: May 08, 2008, 14:46:46 »
Hi All,

after digging over everything - but obviously not getting rid of everything - a potato or 2 have sprouted up. i have no idea how long they have been underground as the plot is new to me this year. Would it be best to dig up the plant and get rid of it or can it be left and eaten later?

Thanks
Liam
Keep getting worried that the stuff I grow will taste nasty - or turn out poisonous!

Get rid of them, they can harbour blight. After the outbreaks last year, it would be wise to be extra careful!
