Having read how far some of you are on with your plants I thought you might like a look at how mine were half an hour ago

Peppers sown 10 days ago. Up to press about 85%germination

In three four weeks time they should be just right for planting out in the greenhouse borders.

Tomatoes; these too will be about ready for planting out at the same time;

Will sow my Cucumber,Runner Beans and Sweet Corn on Sunday or Monday.

Off to Harrogate spring show tomorrow.

Interesting that you sow your toms before your peppers, teegee, I always thought peppers needed a longer growing period.
Enjoy the show- I had though of going but the traffic is always such a nightmare I don't think I'll bother, unless I go for the sell-off on Sunday.

Cool, TG - as per usual!!

Peppers? Usually about mid-April. These were 5/4 & 12/4.

this is reassuring for me, my tomatoes look like your peppers and my peppers are just thinking about breaking the surface.  Its been so cold here that young plants wouldn't survive in my unheated potting shed.  I'm hoping to do most of my sowing tomorrow, beans etc.
