sweet potatoes

Hi

Has anyone had any sucess growing sweet pototoes in Scotland . I really love them but they are very pricey in shops .

Mitzy, have a look in the edible section, there is a thread currently running there about sweet potatoes but not much feedback on it yet.

don't think you'll have any luck. from what I've read, it is possible in some of the warmer parts of the UK, but even using cloches, only certain varieties and not much of a yield.

..unless you're on the part of the West coast that gets the Gulf breeze- maybe then?
