allotments in York
« on: February 10, 2004, 23:20:19 »
Is anyone out there from York? I am moving there in July and was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding allotments. I am moving to Strensall and have put my name down on their waiting list. If anyone from that area has any advice or hints/tips i would be really grateful.

Not really sure about the location but you could try this site http://www-users.cs.york.ac.uk/~kester/LowMoorAllotments/welcome.html ....... loads of information.

My husband and I live in Strensall at the moment.  The best place to get info on allotmets in York is probably the council website: http://www.york.gov.uk/leisure/allotments/index.html We had to wait about 3 months to get our allotment, which is near York hospital. We have been on the waitning list for an allotment in strensall for about 6 months, but will probably stick with the plot we've got.[ Good luck
:)
