They were from seeds saved year after year, some type of crook neck squash originally.
We especially like slabs broiled with mixture of sour cream and grated hot pepper cheese on top.
Hope yours make it this year.  I've always seeded directly into the garden but might try sowing indoors this time.
Except...where to put them?  I'm overrun with tomatoes with buds! should have listened to TeeGee :'(

just popped seed in, first time growing them so I'll see if this year is better than last for squash  ;D

Ohhh!  just saw the orange tree in your garden gallery pix-  Lucky you!!  It gets me when I see lovely oranges just lying around on the ground!

Thanks Annie  :D Coming to an and now! a few more weeks of OJ and thats it! The trees are in blossom now and the smell is out of this world! I made some orange blossom wine the other day!
