What an interesting series of guides!  It doesn't look as though things have changed much, which is rather comforting.

One thing about these guides they actualy did a service to the good folk of Britain during the war years if you did not know how to grow crops, like alot of people my dad grew crops and kept poultry to feed seven of us lot in the 40's/50's :)
