Swapping "illegal" seeds - Radio 4
« on: March 14, 2008, 11:36:17 »
Radio 4 You & yours today at 12 will have an item on gardeners swapping seeds that the EU deems to be outside of their regs.

I'll have to use listen again as I'm on my way out.  Typical!
is it in the sale?

Actually you can swap them if you grew them, you just can't import them or sell what you have saved XX Jeannine

Fortunately the regulations are often honoured in the breach. When the law is an ass, beat it.

For us foreigners, being involved in illegal uk swaps, the problem is even bigger. Those seeds from your british isles will not grow on the right side and all turn to the left. Can you imagine the faces of fellow gardeners looking too lerftside growing vegetables, what can i say,got them imported from the u.k.It was illegal but what a heck i dont mind.
