A 4ft 2'' cabbage!
« on: March 14, 2008, 23:35:16 »
Hi All,

Just thought I'd share this - in the village where I have my allotment (where I've lived all of my life). I've heard stories that someone once grew a world record cabbage (sad but true!) - but I have just found some info on it:

It must have done a few Sunday dinners!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

On our neighbouring site Normanton allotments, grow some huge cabbages but nothing like that!  :o
