Yes it should. Zip it up as well if you can.

When you say Open Office dosent work do you mean the recipients cannot open it or Open Office cannot open the document?

With rtf you might lose some fancy formatting but the essence of the document should be readable by most word processors.

Word per se is not a bad program, it's the faulty operating system it runs on that gives all the problems.

Oooooh I love this site! Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, the recipient could not open it.

Will try that and cross my fingers, if I knew what zipping it up meant computer-wise, I would do that too!  :-[

Zipping a file squeezes it up into a smaller size for easier mailing. You would need a zip program such as Winzip or I believe windows has one built in.

Hi,

You can download Winzip for free at: www.download.com

If you use the Winzip wizard, its pretty self explanatory

good luck!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

You can also save it in word format by clicking on 'save as' and in the box below
where the name of the file is, click on the down arrow and select the format
you wish to save it as.
Select Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)

I'm new to openoffice.org too, I like it so far. There's one niggle though, it doesn't
have CTRL-D as 'fill down'.

When I bought this laptop, the PCWorld guy tried to sell me Office for £99,
when I told him I was going to use Openoffice, he told me other people wouldn't
be able to open the files.
This is the problem that Office 2007 has.  ::)
They'll tell you anything to get a sale, even lies.
