Aahh! The first of everything tastes that little bit better. Hope you enjoyed it. Mine is in a less than favourable spot and I have to wait until late April. Having said that by mid June I am so sick of rhubarb crumble, compote etc. I am glad to see the back of it...............until next April when I spend a couple of months drooling in anticipation. Same with courgettes LOL  ;D

Picked first Rhubarb this evening.  Cooked it in red white (half a small glass) and two teaspoons of waxy honey.  Let it cool and had it with Kelly's Cornish icecream.

Superb.

Can't wait for the next lot but that is likely to be a few days.

Just picked some of ours for a crumble this evening.  I like the sound of cooking it in wine and honey so I think I'll give that a go next time.
