I remember my sons first experience of snow.  He was so excited and got very frustated with my efforts to wrap him up warm.  Out he rushed and picked up a handful and in total disgust declared that it was cold and wet.

Ours is already melting it will not last for long.  1C.  Week sunshine.

North East is very cold and icy. The snow that fell yesterday has frozen so all the roads and paths are frozen. As usual, not a single grain of grit has been put down, Gateshead Council must have the best grit retention rates in the UK....
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

It started here about 6.30pm yesterday, we were going out for a chinese for a family meal and by the time we were on our way back it was inches deep, slow and slippery drive on the way home, with no sight of an idiot driver which is unusual. It is up to 8inches deep in some places in the back garden.
Pretty as it looks and the kid will want to build a snowman later, I know it will cause nightmares at work, the schools and travel in general, as this aint gonna melt for days on end.    :-\       :(

We have about 3" and it's starting to melt from the trees... The fun will be tomorrow if it freezes under the snow overnight!  :)

We've got 6" been out and measured while I was replenishing bird feeders. I discovered that if I used my son's size 10 wellies I didn't need to take off my slipper socks to get out there.

Ipswich - was snow overnight - 4.5 inches deep.  No more snow during the day and some melting, long icicles on the nearby railway arch

Beautiful sunny day, 10 degrees , still a bit soggy underfoot  as it rains a lot in our part of Canada but not for a week. We had a couple of days of snow about three weeks ago, about an inch or so but that is all we have seen this year.
