I'd like to know what a butterfly roof is too - it doesn't sound good in a downpour :-[

A butterfly roof was the Victorian builder's cheapscate idea to make a house look grander than it really was. From the street the roof can't be seen but a bird's eye view shows that the roof runs down towards a central gully. It is the gully that causes the problems in a downpour - we are on our fourth fix in 20 years. Now saving our pennies for a fibre-glass version - if it works for boat hulls............ in the meantime, a bucket is on constant stand-by :-[

A downpour this afternoon, funny enough as the schools were coming out, I got drenched on the way home, thats even with an umbrella. :o

A good down pour here about 4ish for an hour, sunshinning at the moment. Cherrys on tree ripening, wont be long before the starlings appear ::)

Yep..it is..and long may it last..we do need it.
But it feels so cold as well..BRRR..I'll have to get fire going..FIRE, in middle of June.. ::)
We had July weather in April, in June we have April temperatures and showers..what next ???..December in July? ::) Hmm..I might have to start looking my santa outfit..get Christmas shopping done.. ;D

Finally it is raining. Yippee. Started just after 7 am I was down at lottie until 8 when it became rather more persistant. Been at it all day but so far only half an inch. I think the grass has already grown a few inches.

Got told theres a drought in northamptonshire, had rain non stop today :D
