Carrot question
« on: March 09, 2008, 10:29:01 »
I sowed some carrot seeds a while ago after warming my raised bed first with polythene. They are those speedy seeds which says take 14-21 days. Its now been 21 days so when should i see some action??

I am a newbie and getting inpatient waiting for things to appear!

Also having trouble with my onion seeds which have germinated in my propagator. Should i now transplant them to other pot or wait? They are about 10cm tall.

Thanks for the help

Don't know about carrots but here's a link on onions - yours sound as if they need potting on.

14-21 days is in the recommended ambient temperatures. We have had frosts and very cold spells recently so it will possibly take a bit longer. Patience my dear, patience.

I planted some in a raised/glazed bed in Dec and they took six weeks but are growing well now...
