Really sad
« on: March 13, 2008, 10:46:43 »
I always visit a friend (Joy) on Wednesday evenings, Joy is my Grandson's partners Nan. When I arrived last night Joy was very upset. She always feeds her son's dogs (next door but on the same 2 acre plot) while son and daughter-in-law are at work. The dogs, 2terriers (not sure which breed) and a lovely Great Dane (Ruby). The dogs have always lived happily together. For some reason yesterday one of the dogs started a squabble over some biscuit, all the dogs joined in and Ruby got hold of one of the little terriers. Joy separated them and phoned her son who came home immediately. The poor little terrier died on the way to the vets.
I felt so sorry for her.

That is awful Lorna, I feel for them all.

Its strange how we think animals all get on so well when they live together. But I guess its like anything, one little argument can escalate into something serious.

My sympathies are with Joy, I hope she doesn't blame herself too long about this. It could have happened with anyone.

I was born with nothing and have most of it left.
