Large plastic colourless boxes as coldframes
« on: March 03, 2008, 18:18:19 »
It occurred to me when I saw these in Wilkinsons this year that they might make good cold frames.  I think there will be sufficient light and I could just prop up the lid as required. Last year I had to take trays of young plants in and out of the GH for about three weeks.  Can anyone see a downside to using these boxes?

why not, as long as they get a bit of ventilation occasionaly. I'm using the transparent plastic drawers from my old freezer now.
