aubergines
« on: February 29, 2008, 12:19:10 »
my aubergines have come up but are very lanky at the moment, is this normal, or should I re sow them.  I have planted them into bigger pots and covered most of the stems, but they still look sorry for themselves.

If they are getting a lot of light from one side they will grow towrads the light and that can make them get leggy. If they are in a window, try putting some silver foil behind them to reflect the light back.

If they get a bit lanky don't worry, it won't kill them. Does anyone know whether they root from the stems if you plant them deeply?

I did this with mine 3 weeks ago and they are still growing!
