Thanks for posting this Cambourne7 - I am definitely going to be there - it's a shame you can't make it.

For anyone else going I'll be the one who can't make her mind up which varieties to buy.

Just returned with a giant assortment of potatoes. A bit crowded again this year, but lovely weather - and you wouldn't have needed your boots this year, Cam

Had a really good time at the potato day - got lots of advice over what tatties to pick, but still couldn't make up my mind so bought a small amount of several varieties.

My daughter enjoyed the 'which is the tatiest potato to make chips with' stand, resulting in the purchase of some 'picasso', while my OH chatted to the ladies on the cake stall whilst munching on sausage rolls etc. Also purchased some tasty free range eggs.

Regards

Ann

My lottie neighbour went a bit mad this year. I'd ordered 5 kilos of 2 varieties, way too much for me, so I asked if he wanted some - he said he probably had enough in the shed. Went to look: 25 kilos of King Edward and the same again of earlies and second earlies! I suspect we'll all be eating a lot of mash this year...
For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else.
