I have just bought some sweet potatoes from Tesco and am going to grow them for slips in water using cocktail sticks for support as with avocado pips.
Has anyone grown and cropped them sucessfully?

i have two doing just that now and can just see the first purple sprout coming now, someone on here has some beautiful slips going on

I was wondering about sweet potato the other day as my baby daughter loves them.
Can you grow them in theis country then? And slips, what they then?
