Cyclamen Dropout
« on: January 14, 2008, 22:04:22 »
Every time I buy a house cyclamen before Xmas it does fine for a couple of weeks then droops and goes yellow. I have tried saving the corm but it rarely recovers. Any idea what is happening? How can I get the corm to regrow?

.....too wet?

If it's kept in a cool place with good light, watered from the bottom sparingly & left to dry out before watering again, they seem as hardy as old boots?

What are you doing?

mum had the same with hers, years ago. Til she found out they like the cold.
She has heaps of them these days, all healthy.
I bought one this xmas and as she said they like the cold, I put it in the outhouse, on the sill with the window open and its been beautiful and the buds are still coming.
