I am trying my hand at 2 types of Butternut Squash this year, both from T&M. Avalon F1 is a trailing type which can be evasive.
But the favourite one I am looking forward to is Harrier F1. The plant is supposed to be compact and grow about 3x3ft, 18 inches high, with 4-5 fruit on each. It is also the fastest variety for seed to harvest, maturing from August after as little as only 85 days. So if the weather is a bit out, then I have a couple of months for them to mature to catch up. (That's my plan anyway .....
