well I'm going wrong somewhere with them so would be glad of some advice.  last year, and this year, bought in one aubergine from a local supplier (two different suppliers, actually, so the problem is my end not their end) (only one plant as there's only two of us to eat them and I wanted to see if i could get it to work).  potted up, growing on well seemingly to the extent of starting to flower - then some sort of rot sets in at the base and the result is no aubergine.  :-[

any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong, all you successful aubergine growers?   ???

Thanks

Claire

New to aubergines, but have quite large plant  in a tub in greenhouse which now has flowers. Hoping for some fruit eventually as favourite aubergine recipe is aubergine bharta (Indian) and longing for some really fresh ones to cook with!
