Hi Teresa. He is beautiful, isn't he? I have always steered clear of Koi,believing they need complicated filtration and are difficult to keep. But you seem to have got some lovely fish.Do they breed as well as goldfish, and then get eaten,or are they more difficult to encourage to breed? I have just found the most tiny rudd,no more than a week old,and acouple of very small goldfish.Very late in the season and probably won't survive, but although I do not want any more,I make sure they get some crushed up flake and softened pellets.I'm a softie really with the babies. You can't help it,can you?

I've had a lovely day with my stepson and his girlfriend, and we went for a lovely walk with the dog along our river.Hopefully when they can afford it they may get a house nearby which would be very nice.

Cheers for now.

Hi Teresa

Love the photo. Of course, not quite as good looking as my Sunny :)

How many more fish do you have in the pond?  Is the pond in your garden or down the allotment?

Hi Chloe,

You always have one favorite fish yours is Sunny and mine Baby. :)
The pool is in the garden, about 15ft long in three sections middle section 5ft wide and just over 3ft deep the end section all 2 of the 3ft wide 2ft deep.
There is a water fall each end comming into the pool.
I have two two year old shubbumkins, the rest Koi, Baby, a Blue and orange 2 year old, and three 6month olds gold and black, silver and black, and a lovely yellow might call him sunny. 8)
I lost my white and orange one being chased by the shubbkins so hope she spawned in the photo you can just see her nose.  :'(
Thats why I want babies she was lovely.
Oh yes i have one fantail in the house bought it for my dad to watch well what else do you do at 82 and not very well watch a fish. Yep he thinks I am crazy as well ha ha. ???
Will have to take a photo of them all before I feed them one morning. Baby I have as my screensaver shows you how much I love him. ::)

Teresa, thank you for telling me about your fish.  I could talk for hours about them.  I am sure our love for our fish are on a par.  I know it's daft but feel for sure Sunny is a bit of a gentleman ;D  I say Sunny don't you dare eat any of those babies, and I haven't seen him eat one.  He probably waits for me to disappear, but still a gentleman as he doesn't want to upset my sensibilities ::)

Is there anyway I can see a photo of your whole pond?  As I would love to see it.
