Hello
« on: July 20, 2010, 21:42:13 »
I have not visited A4A for at least 2 years, mainly because I did not own a laptop or pc on my boat.  However, things have changed and I am now ready to join in again, be it with a very small garden.  A big Hello to those who may remember me, it was a long time ago  ;D ;D :D

Hello Marian.

I haven't forgotten you,  how are you?  I take it you are no longer on your luxury boat.

Welcome back, nice seeing your name up again.

I remember you too! Welcome back! Sounds like you've been having fun? I always fancied living on a boat for a bit.

I too remember you. I think you will find the forum has changed quite a bit. I was away for a while and was very surprised. It has taken me a while to get to know who's who. Nice to see your smiley face  again anyway Marian

Hello all   :) how wonderful to see all your names  and for remembering me- it has brought back so many lovely memories.  I will live on my narrowboat in Hertfordshire and have now joined the techies LOL , i.e. I have a proper laptop to communicate ..  ::)  We were lucky to have a mooring too with a small width of garden, i.e. about 5 ft wide by 55 ft long.  Not much but enough to grow my beloved plants.  ;D  I have missed you all and cannot wait to get posting again.  I can take photos with my phone but unfortunately cannot download them onto my pc  because of lac k of memory .... whatever that is LOL  ::)  So it looks as though I am going to invest in a camera  ::) Anyway, will get that done soon.  In the meantime I am growing lovely herbs which I water with river water.  Water is precious when living on a boat so I do the unthinkable...  ;D

Hi

That sounds the best of both worlds, to live on a boat and have a garden too.  OH and I nearly lived on a boat when we were first married as he was going to be working for a few months each in different parts of the country and we regularly go and dream of owning one as a weekend retreat.  I always imagine it is relaxing with the sound of water lapping at the sides?  I am looking forward to hearing all about it and what you are growing in your new garden, it's lovely to have you back on here  :) :)
