Best ever birthday surprise
« on: December 21, 2007, 21:11:05 »
It's my birthday tomorrow, but it being this time of year, I tend to spend the run up to it thinking about presents for other people and I never get gardening stuff because none of my friends and family really understand what it is that I do to get covered in mud. So imagine my confusion when I came home after work tonight - knackered - to find an enormous parcel waiting for me. Containing a Harrods Horticultural electric propagator. I knew I hadn't ordered it for myself, and OH denied all knowledge - took two hours to work out that I'd won a competition in Grow Your Own magazine back in October/November! (at least I think so, as that's the only explanation!) What a fantastic surprise on nearly my birthday  :)
For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else.

For her 40th I got OH a tank driving day... she loved it but wasn't really well enough for the surprise meal with a thousand(ish) guests!
