Well here it is - my pathetic offering :'(  Having said that, considering it started out fighting off an attack of greenfly I suppose it hasn't done too bad.  Only 4ft 6in tall and not your conventional sunflower head, but quite nice I think, even though it will not win any prizes.  Never mind, better luck next year :D

The variety is Sunflower-Lemon Aura
Happy gardening all...........Pat

2.20 metres and still climbing. No Flower showing yet! Wonder if it's a dud!! Circumference a foot above the ground is 5 and 3/4 inches. (Must be a use for a stick like that after flowering??

Love the hephalump BB!  ;D  Here is the first on my plot to open.

But this is the one I am nurturing!

As you can see, just at 2 meters, but the flower bud is there but still only small, I am hoping it will grow another few inches before finally opening.

EJ: I see you have one of those Black&Decker tape measures that were re-called last year because they were wrongly marked. Your 2 metres on that particular tape measure is actually 1 metre 25cm.

Was up at the Lottie yesterday and ours have really come away, - busy Mikes about six foot now and mine over five foot, still no flowers though, think we need just a few more hot sunny days (there is something in there so shouldn't be too long).

Will take the camera up at the weekend.  Congrats every who has posted, they are all looking brill!  :D busy_lizzie

Oh Ken!don't you dare be so c*cky,
'cos you've used a secret manure.
Or someone will come up and top it
Of that you can really be sure.

They'll grow a gre't big ten footer,
That's come with a journal for free
Grown with such love and compassion
