I still have swedes growing in the garden they are not huge but look really healthy is is ok to leave them or should i harvest and store them please?

Yep, leave 'em in, they're hardy enough to shrug off the weather and taste much better fresh anyhow. They shouldn't suffer too badly with slugs unless the winter's extremely wet and mild.
