« on: November 23, 2007, 12:07:58 »
I was wondering if anyone knew the best time of year to move a peony rose cos my mam says i can have one of hers, but dont want to kill it off moving it at  the wrong time.

I expect like a few others on here, we do not know what a peony rose is. If it is an ordinary rose bush, prune it back as you would a rose this time of year, then move it to its new spot. Make sure there is some well rotted manure at the bottom of the hole. Now is the perfect time for replanting roses.

here you go

most paeonies have a reputation of stopping flowering after they've been transplanted, I believe the trick is not to plant too deeply  :-\
