great pic, angle shades! (took me ages to spot him ::))

we've suddenly got loads of blackbirds in our garden but I think they must be this year's fledglings as most of the males don't have their bright yellow beaks yet. haven't tried them on raisins though!

norfolklass, we have loads of blackbirds, some are this years fledglings which were born in our garden and brought up on raisins and sultanas :) I have to get up at the crack of dawn as they are looking through our kitchen window waiting for me ;D

We have a designated managed wildlife area on our allotments and at the edge of this there's lots of Blackthorn (sloe) bushes and over the past week this has been full of Blackbirds eating the fruit, think perhaps the hard frosts we had at the end of last week softened the fruit making it more attractive to the Blackbirds.  There has been a couple of Thrushes taking the sloes too, nice to see them as there's not so many of them about as there used to be.
