I have some spuds in for Christmas that I keep earching up to keep them from the frost the problem is the mound is now getting very high, there were planted mid August, should I keep earthing up or will they be ok now?

No amount of earthing up will save the foliage from a frost. To keep the plants growing they will require covering with cloches or similar protection from frost. The earthing up protects the roots only. No leaves - no potatoes.

What variety? They have had 12 weeks which is long enough for many first earlies...
