our pallet beds last 5 to 7 years, then the corner posts and sides need renewing, we've treated them this time, they'll see us out ;D

If I was going to make raised beds, I'd use treated wood. One of the first things I had to do on the plot was clear my predecessor's attempts to make raised beds with pallet wood and burn it all.

Thanks for all your help and ideas.
Local DIY store delivered my wood on Friday. I cheekily asked him if he had any paletts to spare and could he also bring them along.....AND HE DID.... ;D all three different sizes but who cares, as they are the large ones. So I can now build my compost bins. ::)
