« on: October 25, 2007, 20:03:41 »
ok guys wonder if anyone can help me we have a large surround sound digital tv with two speakers designed to go round the room, lately though no matter what ever channel we have on we can always quietly hear in the background on the speakers the sound from bbc1 any ideas? really weird!!

That's odd!  :o

is your TV hooked up to Sky / Cable?  Have you just installed the telly?

hi debster, we had exactly the same problem - when watching freeview thro our digi box we could also hear almost an echo of bbc!  We had to turn the digi box off and go onto 'normal' telly (i.e. not digital) and turn the sound down there - sounds really bizarre but it worked!!  When we turned the digibox back on it was cured!!

Give it a go and let me know if it works for you x

You can get "Creep" from other SCART leads etc.  Might that explain it ?  To test this,  maybe simplify your wires, this may tell you if you are getting interference on the sound channels.

By way of example,  we have a SCART multiplexer,  one XBOX pumps out a really strong signal on visual and creates interference, so the xbox needs to be switched off when not being viewed.
