this one's kind of related to the blight topic - if i had blight in my tomatoes at home is it safe to use the compost from the old growbags - i hoping to transform an old bath tub into a wonderous world of herbs and wanted to use the compost?

Perfectly safe. You're not growing susceptible plants, and in any case it can only survive in living tissue.
