Taken through the car window in a friend's driveway.

That's the 3rd of her doves gone.

I'm very happy to see the remains of pigeons after a sparrowhawk's had them. I see them rather more often than I see sparrowhawks, unfortunately.

We have loads of Collared Doves around our area, and they make the most awesome racket - specially early in the morning. I once said "We could use a Peregrine Falcon round here".

Two hours later, a Peregrine Falcon was sitting on top of a twitching collared dove right outside our lounge window  :'(

I tend to keep me gob shut nowadays  :-X

It's a bit arbitrary whether it's a pigeon or a dove; feral pigeons are descendents of rock doves, which had their name changed to rock pigeons in 2004. Whatever we call them, they still eat brassicas!

Collared Dove I wouldn't mind - they are taking the place over. And some of them, I agree, have the most irritating call. Never seen them on my Brassica though.

But our neighbour buys her White Doves & loves them!!
